One Megajoule Laser Shot...
At the National Ignition Facility, in at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California.
DAMN YOU VAL KILMER!

World's largest crab species..
Is the Coconut Crab "Birgus Latro". Relax, I tweaked my font. Anyways, this right here:
..not the biggest sample. That would be over here.
My favorite part of the article is at the end...
Slowly winding up this morning....
Gonna take me a little bit to get really going for anything today. Saw an excellent show at the 'Wild Buffalo' in Bellingham, Washington. It was put on by a group called 'Delhi 2 Dublin', and it was for me the right mix of Punjabi traditional music, Irish fiddle playing, and electronica. So, let me go get some coffee this morning and I'll get back to you...
In the meantime, here's some photos of some live action role players (LARPers, Mom) that I think are actually very cool, credit to the Boston Globe for these.

Here's another one...
Let's Start Slowly..

Here is something I found today that is a good example of the kinds of things I really enjoy. Check it out, it's from the another blog by an author (and pastry artist) named Beverly Hsu. Not really profound, just quietly awesome, and edible. I call it: "ediblawesome"?
Beverly Hsu. Totally worth it.
And here's a picture to hold your attention. That Captain Joe Kittinger, USAF, jumping from a balloon at 102,800 FEET! during "Project Exelsior".
